- May is a pretty active month in health affairs, with no fewer than 34
- National Health Observances scheduled in 1992. They run the spectrum from
- Asthma and Allergy Month, Older Americans Month, World Red Cross Day,
- Community Safe Kids Week, National Nurses Week, Buckle Up America Week to
- World No Tobacco Day (May 31). I wish I could highlight all of them here, but
- certainly none are more essential to American Health than National High Blood
- Pressure Month. The National High Blood Pressure Education Program sponsors
- this celebration, and wants to highlight information both on high blood
- pressure and stroke prevention. To this end they have made a Fact Sheet on
- each of these subjects available to you, single copies without charge, that
- you may obtain by sending a stamped self-addressed, business size envelope to
- "Fact Sheets" National High Blood Pressure Education Program, P.O. Box 30105,
- Bethesda, MD 20284-0105. Ask for both the "High Blood Pressure" and "Stroke
- Prevention" fact sheet by name.
